The Custom Cake Shop in City Hall
Everything we sell is made to order in our own kitchen, at the same address as the shop, licensed by the Singapore Food Agency under licence CE20L85J000.
That is the difference between us and every other City Hall cake shop. A display-counter bakery sells you what it baked this morning. We build what you asked for, which means we can do things a counter cannot:
Money pulling cakes, where the celebrant pulls a ribbon and a string of cash notes comes out of the cake
Explosion bomb cakes, sealed inside a shell that springs open when a sparkler burns down
Pinata and knock knock cakes, smashed open with a free wooden mallet
Burnaway cakes, where the top layer burns away to reveal a hidden photo or message
Any design you send us, from a photo, a sketch or a description
Why Visit Tings Bakery in City Hall
Two Minutes From City Hall MRT Exit B
We are on the basement level of The Adelphi, unit B1-20, a short walk along Coleman Street. Bras Basah on the Circle Line is also within walking distance.
Collection Is Always Free
For a tall cake, a 3D structure, a pinata dome or anything with a mechanism inside, collecting removes the car journey, which is the single biggest risk to a cake that has been built rather than baked flat.
The Only Custom Cake Shop in the Area
Everything we sell is made to order in our own kitchen at this address. Money pulling, explosion bomb, pinata and burnaway cakes are things a display counter cannot do.
Walkable From the CBD
A lunchtime collection from Raffles Place, Marina Bay, Bugis and the City Hall offices.
Pickup Slots Are Pre-Arranged
Tell us the time you want to collect when you place the order and the cake is finished and chilled for it, rather than sitting waiting.

How It Works
Step 1: Order Ahead
Browse the site or WhatsApp +65 9169 9195 with your design, date and headcount. We are a made-to-order bakery, so most cakes need about a week: 3 to 5 days for a standard design, 5 to 7 for anything custom or 3D.
Step 2: Choose Your Pickup Time
Tell us the time you want to collect when you place the order. Pickup slots are pre-arranged so the cake is finished and chilled for that time rather than sitting waiting.
Step 3: Pay in Full
Full payment secures the slot, because the date is not held until payment is received. PayNow to UEN 53394429E.
Step 4: Collect From B1-20
Come to the basement level of The Adelphi, unit B1-20, two minutes from City Hall MRT Exit B. Collection is always free. Bring a flat boot space if you are driving and the cake is tall or 3D.
How to Get Here
By MRT
City Hall station, Exit B, then about two minutes on foot along Coleman Street. City Hall is on both the East-West and North-South lines. Bras Basah on the Circle Line also works if it is the easier interchange for you.

By Car
The Adelphi has its own carpark with entry from Coleman Street.
Landmarks
If you are coming from Funan, cross to Coleman Street and The Adelphi is on your left. From Raffles City, walk down North Bridge Road and turn into Coleman Street. The Adelphi sits between the two.

Why Collect Rather Than Have It Delivered
Collection is free, and for some cakes it is genuinely the better option rather than just the cheaper one.
A built cake does not like a car boot. A tall cake, a 3D sculpted design, a pinata dome or anything with an internal mechanism carries transit risk that a flat piped cake does not. Collecting removes the journey entirely.
Your pickup slot is pre-arranged. Tell us the time when you order and the cake is finished and chilled for it. There is no window to wait through.
You can see it before you take it. If something is not as you expected, we are standing there.
It is a lunchtime walk from most of the CBD. Raffles Place, Marina Bay, Bugis and the City Hall offices are all within a fifteen-minute walk.
Order for Collection or Delivery
Collection, always free. Order online or on WhatsApp, choose a pickup time, and collect from B1-20. Pickup slots are arranged in advance so the cake is ready and chilled when you arrive.
Delivery, islandwide. Free on orders above $180, otherwise a flat $20. Sentosa, Changi, Tuas and Jurong Island add $15. Windows of 12pm to 3pm or 3pm to 6pm, with an hour either side for traffic. Someone needs to be there to receive it: our driver waits ten minutes and then calls, and a redelivery costs $30.
Lead times. About a week for most custom designs. Standard designs from our collection need 3 to 5 days, fully custom or 3D designs need 5 to 7. Urgent 1 to 2 day slots are often available on selected designs for an additional charge.
See Cake Delivery Singapore for full delivery details.
Parking at The Adelphi
The Adelphi has a carpark with entry from Coleman Street.
Ordering for a CBD Office
We are a practical option for an office celebration, and this is the most common reason people find this page.
Collection at lunchtime. Ten to fifteen minutes on foot from Raffles Place, Marina Bay, Bugis and the City Hall offices. Pre-arrange the pickup slot and it is a lunch break rather than an errand.
Office delivery. We deliver to offices in a 12pm to 3pm or 3pm to 6pm window. Nominate a reception contact, because our driver waits ten minutes and then calls.
Corporate orders. For anything above a single cake, including bulk cupcakes, multi-office delivery, invoicing or a purchase order, use our corporate enquiry form. Our UEN is 53394429E. See Corporate Cakes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a cake shop near City Hall MRT?
Yes. Tings Bakery is at #B1-20 The Adelphi, 1 Coleman Street, about two minutes’ walk from City Hall MRT Exit B.
We are on the basement level of the building, and we are a custom cake shop rather than a display counter. Everything is made to order in our own kitchen at the same address.
Which City Hall cake shop makes custom designs?
If you want a cake made to your own design rather than bought off a counter, Tings Bakery is the only custom cake shop city hall shoppers will find in the immediate area.
The other bakeries near City Hall MRT sell from a fixed range. We build to a brief: money pulling cakes, explosion bomb cakes, pinata cakes, burnaway cakes, and any design you send us from a photo.
Can I collect a cake at The Adelphi?
Yes, and collection is always free.
We are unit B1-20 on the basement level, open Monday to Saturday 12.30pm to 8.30pm and Sunday 12.30pm to 4.30pm. Pickup times are arranged when you place the order, so the cake is finished and chilled for the time you want.
Which MRT exit should I use for the cake shop the Adelphi houses?
Exit B at City Hall, then about two minutes along Coleman Street.
Bras Basah on the Circle Line also works if it is the easier interchange for you. Once inside The Adelphi, take the escalator or lift down to B1. We are unit B1-20.
Can I walk in and buy a cake today?
Message us first on +65 9169 9195, because we are a made-to-order bakery rather than a display-counter shop.
Custom designs and anything with a mechanism need lead time. We will tell you honestly what is possible for today before you make the trip, and what we hold ready varies day to day.
How much notice do you need?
About a week for most custom designs.
Standard designs from our collection need 3 to 5 days and fully custom or 3D designs need 5 to 7. Urgent 1 to 2 day slots are often available on selected designs for an additional charge.
Where can I park at The Adelphi?
The Adelphi has a carpark with entry from Coleman Street.
If you would rather not drive into the CBD, City Hall MRT Exit B is a two-minute walk. Street parking around Coleman Street is not a realistic option at lunchtime or in the early evening.
What time do you close?
8.30pm Monday to Saturday, and 4.30pm on Sunday.
Public holiday hours can differ, so message us on +65 9169 9195 if you are travelling in specially.
Should I collect or have my cake delivered?
Collect if the cake is tall, three-dimensional, or has a mechanism inside.
Collection removes the car journey, which is the single biggest transit risk for a built cake. It is free, pickup slots are pre-arranged, and you can see the cake before you take it. For a standard flat or piped design, delivery is perfectly safe.
Can I order a cake for my office in the CBD?
Yes. We are a ten to fifteen minute walk from Raffles Place, Marina Bay, Bugis and the City Hall offices, so a pre-arranged lunchtime collection is realistic.
We also deliver to offices in a 12pm to 3pm or 3pm to 6pm window. Nominate a reception contact for the delivery. For larger corporate orders, invoicing or a purchase order, see Corporate Cakes.
Is there a lift down to the basement?
Yes, there is a lift as well as an escalator down to B1. We are unit B1-20.
Can I pay when I collect?
No. Full payment is required when you place the order, because the date and the pickup slot are not held until payment is received.
We accept PayNow to UEN 53394429E. We do not accept cash on delivery.
Do you hold any ready-made cakes in the shop?
Not in the way a display-counter bakery does, and what we hold varies day to day.
We are a made-to-order bakery, so almost everything in the shop on a given day is an order waiting for collection. Message us on +65 9169 9195 to ask what is available before you travel in.
Are your cakes Halal?
Tings Bakery does not hold MUIS Halal certification, and we are working towards it.
We do not use pork, lard or alcohol in any of our cakes or ingredients, and our ingredients are Halal-sourced. Our kitchen is SFA-licensed under licence number CE20L85J000, verifiable on the Singapore Food Agency Track Records portal.
