Question 1

How much is a money pulling cake in Singapore?

Accepted Answer

Money pulling cakes at Ting's Bakery start from $150, and the pull mechanism is included in that price. Most of our 61 designs are priced between $150 and $170, with larger 3D and sculpted designs going up to $230. The cash you put inside is separate and entirely up to you.

Question 2

How do I provide the cash for the surprise pull?

Accepted Answer

You do not need to hand over any cash in person. Add the amount you want hidden inside the cake to your order and pay it together with the cake using PayNow. Payment is a single PayNow transfer to UEN 53394429E (Tings Bakery), covering both the cake and the cash for the mechanism. Our team prepares the notes and loads them into your cake.

Question 3

Is it hygienic to have cash inside the cake?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The notes sit inside a dedicated internal sleeve that fully separates the currency from the cake sponge and cream. The notes are not individually wrapped in plastic as this can increase the risk of jamming. The internal container ensures hygiene while keeping the pull mechanism smooth.

Question 4

What is the maximum number of notes I can include?

Accepted Answer

The maximum is twenty notes. This limit is based on the size of the internal mechanism and cake structure. More than 20 notes can make the roll too bulky and affect the smoothness of the pull.

Question 5

How much is the add-on fee for the money-pulling mechanism?

Accepted Answer

There is no add-on fee. The money-pulling mechanism is already included in the cake price. The only separate amount is the cash you choose to place inside the cake.

Question 6

Can I include TOTO or 4D tickets inside the pull instead of cash?

Accepted Answer

No. The mechanism only supports standard Singapore currency notes. Tickets such as TOTO or 4D are different in size and texture and may cause the mechanism to jam.

Question 7

Will the cake look hollow or be smaller inside because of the box?

Accepted Answer

No. The mechanism is placed in the centre and the cake is built around it, leaving plenty of sponge and cream for serving after the reveal.

Question 8

What should I do if the money gets stuck halfway through the pull?

Accepted Answer

Pull gently and steadily in a straight upward motion. Do not yank or force it. Jams are rare, but a slow and controlled pull usually resolves it.

Question 9

Can I request new notes only for the surprise?

Accepted Answer

We will try to source new notes from the bank, but it depends on availability. We always ensure the notes used are clean and presentable.

Question 10

Does my money pulling cake need to be refrigerated?

Accepted Answer

Cream cakes must be refrigerated. Fully fondant cakes should be kept in a cool, air-conditioned room. Cream cakes with fondant decorations should still be refrigerated to maintain quality.

Question 11

Is Ting's Bakery an SFA-licensed establishment?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We are a fully SFA-licensed bakery, licence number CE20L85J000. You can verify this on the Singapore Food Agency Track Records portal by searching Ting's Bakery.

Question 12

How early should I order a money pulling cake?

Accepted Answer

We recommend ordering about one week in advance for most designs. Urgent orders may be possible within 1 to 2 days depending on design and availability. Weekends and holidays fill up quickly.
